CS-4  COMMENTATOR STATION
Since 1989 RF Systems has provided commentator systems at a wide   variety of events for our clients. In 1996, RF Systems, having provided commentators systems for over 700 internationally broadcasted events from the US, embarked on a project to design and manufacture a new Euro style commentators station, the CS-4.  Introduced in 1997 at the Indianapolis 500, the CS-4  provided far more versatility than any other unit used in the US.

All of the units are software controlled via a digital network which provides for quick and efficient set-up and control of a total system. Since the CS-4 is very similar in layout to already existing European commentator stations, the commentators will find the CS-4 easy to use.

Canal+ France, Canal+ Spain, TVE Spain, Canal+ Poland, HBO Poland, HBO Ole, TV-2 Denmark, DRT Denmark, TV-2 Norway, RTBF Beligum, RTL Netherlands, Plaza Media Germany, ITV Sport London, B Sky B London, Ch-5 London, RTE Ireland, EuroSport, NTV Moscow, JSB Japan,Telepiu Italy, RAI Italy, Via Digital Spain, TV Globo Brazil, HTR Croatia, Televisa Mexico, Ch-9 Argentina, Imagen Satelital Argentina, Direct TV GLA are some of the broadcasters to use the CS-4 since it's introduction.

TECHNICAL FEATURES

Each CS-4, provides a position for two commentators and or producers and up to three units may be linked together so as to provide six positions. Each position allows the user to have independent level control of the left and right ear for up to six sources. Two mic level inputs are available for the commentator's headset microphone and an additional input is available for an interview microphone. A hand held lip microphone may be used on any of the inputs. Each microphone input has it's own limiter and the threshold of each limiter is controlled via the digital network. Three program outputs are available, one at the rear of the CS-4, two at the system base station, where program may be sent by an auto answer phone coupler and simultaneously by ISDN or satellite. At the system base station, the mix minus circuit may be received by an auto answer phone coupler or directly from ISDN.
